Sajid Nadiadwala and Akshay Kumar are bringing back the Housefull franchise with its fifth installment, set to be the biggest yet.
The film will be shot aboard a cruise and feature a large ensemble cast. Filming begins in London on September 15 and will continue for 45 days, after which the crew will return to Mumbai for additional scenes.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the movie is scheduled for release on June 6, 2025, coinciding with Bakri Eid.
The cast includes Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff, and Dino Morea.
Additionally, five female leads—Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangda Singh, and Soundarya Sharma—have been confirmed.
“It’s a cruise full of characters, and every character is a part of the film for a reason. Sajid Nadiadwala has been very sure to get the casting right, and the gang of Housefull 5 is now locked. It’s the biggest ensemble set up ever pulled off by a producer, and the team is excited to embark on this fun ride,” a source said.
In addition to the main cast, there will be many supporting roles, designed to enhance the comic chaos.
Akshay Kumar will reprise his comedic style with a new character trait, said to be as distinctive as his previous roles in the series. “Wait for it, the trait is as hilarious as Sandy and Sundi,” teased the source.
