The actress, who plays an MI6 agent protecting two heads of state, shared the story during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Heads of State is directed by Ilya Naishuller and features a star-studded cast including Idris Elba, John Cena, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the lead roles.
The film follows Chopra’s character, an intelligence operative tasked with protecting the President of the United States (played by John Cena) and the Prime Minister of the UK (played by Idris Elba). The Near Accident on Set
While promoting the film on The Tonight Show, Priyanka recounted a tense moment during filming. She described a scene where she was supposed to roll on the floor and fall while it was raining. The camera operator was moving in close to capture the shot, but the proximity led to an accident.
“The camera has a matte box, and I was supposed to roll on the floor and fall, and it was raining. And the camera was supposed to come in close to me. So the camera operator came in a little bit closer – I came in a little bit closer, and it took out a chunk of my eyebrow. Could have been my eye, so I was very grateful that it wasn’t.”
Despite the injury, Priyanka showed remarkable professionalism by continuing to shoot the scene. She explained,
“I just put surgical glue on there, stuck it. Finished my day, because I did not want to come back and shoot in the rain again.”
