Alia Bhatt to make red carpet debut at Cannes 2025 as L’Oreal Paris ambassador

Alia Bhatt is all set to make her much-awaited red carpet debut at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2025. The celebrated Bollywood actor will attend the international event as a global ambassador for the beauty brand L’Oréal Paris. The festival will be held in France from May 13 to May 24, and marks L’Oréal Paris’ 28th anniversary at the iconic cinema gala.

Announcing her Cannes debut, Alia shared her excitement, saying, “There’s something absolutely special about firsts — and I’m so excited to make my Festival de Cannes debut this year, an iconic celebration of cinema and self-expression. It is such an honour to represent L’Oréal Paris at the Festival with this year’s theme, ‘Lights, Beauty and Action’.”

Alia will be joining the legendary Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who has long been the face of L’Oréal Paris at Cannes. This year, the brand will also be represented by a powerful global lineup that includes Hollywood stars Eva Longoria, Viola Davis, Jane Fonda, Aja Naomi King, Andie MacDowell, Simone Ashley, Elle Fanning, as well as Italian fencer Bebe Vio and French singer Yseult.

In her statement, Alia emphasized the deeper meaning of beauty, saying, “To me, beauty is about celebrating individuality, confidence and self-worth. It’s limitless, it’s unique. I’m proud to stand with a brand that celebrates every woman’s journey and empowers them to shine in their own light.”

Known for her effortless elegance and growing influence beyond Bollywood, Alia’s debut at Cannes is being widely anticipated by fans and fashion critics alike. The event is expected to highlight her growing global presence, not only as an actor but also as a style icon and advocate for women’s empowerment.

Just days before the Cannes announcement, Alia made a powerful fashion statement at the WAVES Summit in Mumbai, where she wore a traditional Paithani sari to mark Maharashtra Day. Her commitment to celebrating Indian heritage while making global strides has become a hallmark of her public image.

On the professional front, Alia Bhatt has an exciting lineup of projects. She will next be seen in Alpha, a major action film directed by Shiv Rawail under Yash Raj Films’ blockbuster spy universe. Slated for release on December 25, the film is expected to further solidify her place in mainstream commercial cinema. She is also gearing up for Love and War, a highly anticipated period romance directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, in which she will star alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.

As Alia Bhatt prepares to grace the Cannes red carpet for the first time, the moment signals a new milestone in her career — a blend of cinematic excellence, global fashion, and the power of representation.
