Meta has announced the appointment of Arun Srinivas as the new Managing Director and Head for Meta in India, effective July 1, 2025.
This leadership change follows the recent expansion of Sandhya Devanathan’s role, who now leads both Meta’s India and South East Asia operations. Srinivas will report directly to Devanathan, ensuring continuity and alignment with Meta’s broader regional strategies.
A Strategic Role for Growth and Innovation
In his new capacity, Arun Srinivas will be responsible for unifying Meta’s business, innovation, and revenue priorities in India. His primary focus will be to serve Meta’s partners and clients, while supporting the long-term growth of the company’s business and its commitment to the Indian market.
Srinivas will spearhead the India charter, aiming to strengthen strategic relationships with leading brands, advertisers, developers, and partners to drive growth for India as a key market for Meta.
A Proven Leader with Decades of Experience
Arun Srinivas brings nearly three decades of experience in sales and marketing leadership to his new role. An alumnus of IIM Kolkata, Srinivas has previously held significant positions at renowned companies such as Hindustan Unilever, Reebok, OLA, and investment firm WestBridge Capital.
His extensive experience in building high-performing teams and driving business innovation positions him well to lead Meta’s ambitious agenda in India.
Track Record at Meta
Since joining Meta in 2020, Srinivas has served as Director and Head of Ads Business in India. In this role, he has played a pivotal part in leading Meta’s engagement with the country’s largest advertisers and agency partners. His leadership has been instrumental in advancing strategic revenue priorities, including the adoption of AI, the growth of Reels, and the expansion of Messaging services.
