Mumbai witnessed an emotional and star-studded evening as members of the Hindi film industry came together for a special screening of Ikkis, director Sriram Raghavan’s upcoming period drama and the final film appearance of legendary actor Dharmendra. The screening served as a tribute to the cinema icon, who passed away on November 24 at the age of 89.
The event drew several prominent names from the film fraternity, reflecting Dharmendra’s lasting influence across generations. Salman Khan, Rekha, Tabu, Jeetendra, Randeep Hooda, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Manish Malhotra, and actors Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh were among those seen arriving at the venue. Their presence underscored the deep respect the industry holds for the late actor.
One of the most moving moments of the evening came when Salman Khan paused beside a poster of Dharmendra. He stood quietly for several seconds, visibly emotional, as photographers captured the heartfelt tribute. The moment resonated strongly with fans and colleagues alike.
The Deol family also attended in full strength. Sunny Deol appeared composed yet emotional as he posed next to his father’s poster, acknowledging the cameras with a gentle smile. Bobby Deol arrived later with his wife Tanya, their son Aryaman, and cousin Abhay Deol, reflecting a strong show of family support on a significant night.
The film’s younger cast members, Simar Bhatia and Agastya Nanda, arrived together and posed for photographs on the red carpet. Jaideep Ahlawat, who plays a key role in the film, was also among the early arrivals, opting for a subtle yet stylish look in a gray jacket layered over a black T-shirt.
Ikkis holds special significance as it marks Dharmendra’s final on-screen performance. In the film, Agastya Nanda plays Arun, the son of Dharmendra’s character, Brigadier ML Khetarpal. The cast also includes Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia, Sikandar Kher, and Vivaan Shah.
Directed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis is set against a historical backdrop and is expected to blend emotional depth with powerful performances. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 1, 2026.
As the evening concluded, the screening stood not just as a film event, but as a collective farewell to one of Indian cinema’s most enduring legends.
