Roshan writes that he admires the way the story is told and the intensity behind the filmmaking. He calls Dhurandhar an example of cinema that pulls its creators into the narrative and brings their vision onto the screen.


Praise with a point of disagreement

While he appreciates the craft, Roshan also notes he does not fully agree with the film’s political view. He says filmmakers carry certain responsibilities but adds that his disagreement does not take away from what he learns from the film.

What Dhurandhar is about

Dhurandhar follows Hamza Ali Mazari, played by Ranveer Singh, a young man who infiltrates the gang of Rehman Dakait with a hidden motive. The film features Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, and others in key roles.

Released on December 5, the thriller quickly becomes one of the year’s most discussed releases. A sequel, directed by Aditya Dhar, is expected to build on the story and expand Hamza’s mission.
