No prenup, no problem: Justin Bieber could swipe half of Hailey’s $1 billion Rhode fortune

With Hailey Bieber’s Rhode cosmetics brand recently valued at $1 billion, legal experts say Justin Bieber could be entitled to a significant share if the couple divorces—especially since reports suggest they never signed a prenuptial agreement.

Rumors about Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber’s marriage have swirled in recent months, but the stakes have never been higher after Hailey’s Rhode cosmetics company was sold for a staggering $1 billion to E.L.F. Beauty. Now, legal experts and fans alike are speculating about what could happen to this massive fortune if the celebrity couple were to split.

According to several reports, Hailey and Justin never signed a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot. This detail could prove crucial, as California’s community property laws generally dictate a 50/50 split of all marital assets acquired during the marriage.

Joseph Osborne, a legal expert at Osborne & Francis, explains, “If Justin and Hailey Bieber were to divorce, the outcome would depend heavily on whether they signed a prenuptial agreement, and what exactly it covers.” Without such an agreement, both parties could be entitled to a significant share of each other’s wealth.

Hailey launched Rhode in 2022, and the brand quickly rose to global prominence, thanks to its viral beauty products and innovative marketing. The company’s recent $1 billion sale has made headlines and sparked concern among Hailey’s friends and family about her financial future if a divorce were to occur.

Osborne notes, “Assuming Hailey’s Rhode brand is valued at $1 billion, Justin could theoretically seek a portion, but only if the brand’s value significantly appreciated during the marriage, and especially if he played a role in its growth or if joint funds supported it.”

The same legal logic applies in reverse: Hailey could also be entitled to a portion of Justin’s music and business earnings accrued during their marriage. With Justin Bieber’s net worth estimated at $200 million and Hailey’s at $300 million, both stand to gain or lose substantial sums depending on how assets are divided.

High-profile divorces like this often become masterclasses in legal strategy and asset protection. “In high-net-worth divorces, the real winners are often those who plan ahead, and the lawyers who know how to navigate layered financial ecosystems and public scrutiny alike,” Osborne adds.

Despite the speculation, Hailey Bieber has publicly denied rumors of marital strife. In a recent Vogue interview, she addressed the constant rumors: “To be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, ‘They’re getting divorced’ and they’re this and ‘They’re not happy’: It is such a mindf–k. I cannot even begin to explain it. It’s a crazy life to live.”

While the couple continues to fend off rumors, the question of asset division remains a hot topic. As Rhode’s billion-dollar valuation puts Hailey among the wealthiest young entrepreneurs, any major change in their relationship status could have significant financial repercussions for both stars.

For now, Justin and Hailey Bieber remain together, but their high-profile fortunes—and the absence of a prenup—ensure that any future split would be closely watched by fans and legal experts alike.
