Kim Kardashian has once again turned to the Mugler archives for a bold fashion statement, this time choosing a striking ensemble from the designer’s Autumn/Winter 1998 collection.
The look, revealed in a recent Instagram post, featured a transparent, figure-hugging bodysuit with attached stockings, embellished with spiderweb-like bands of black sequins. The outfit was styled with a matching fur trench coat, identical to the one used in its original runway appearance.

A supervillain-inspired silhouette
Kardashian’s ensemble drew comparisons to comic book supervillains, thanks to its sculptural form, dramatic collar, and dark, enveloping design. The structured bodice resembled a corset, emphasising the waist, while the collar extended high up the jawline. A lace-up back completed the fitted silhouette.
The reality star and entrepreneur shared both a mirror selfie and a series of professional portraits, shot by her regular photographer Pierre Snaps, with the caption: “Mugler Magic.”
Kardashian continues fashion archive streak
The post marks Kardashian’s latest outing in vintage Thierry Mugler, following her October 2024 appearance at the Academy Museum Gala, where she wore a white corseted gown and matching robe from the designer’s Spring 1998 couture collection.
With each archival look, Kardashian further cements her reputation for revisiting and reinterpreting iconic fashion moments.
