Indian prime minister Narendra Modi invited leading Israeli technology companies to invest in India and collaborate with Indian youth as he toured a major innovation exhibition in Jerusalem alongside Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.


During the visit on Wednesday (25), Modi explored cutting-edge advancements spanning artificial intelligence, quantum computing, healthcare, agriculture, cybersecurity, climate technology, and smart mobility. In a social media post following the tour, Modi said he witnessed “special innovations” and pioneering work by Israeli youth in AI, quantum technologies, healthcare, cyber defense, water management, and agriculture. He urged Israeli firms to expand into India and partner with the country’s skilled young workforce to develop solutions for global challenges.

According to an official release, the exhibition featured top Israeli companies and research institutions specializing in agri-tech, water technology, climate innovation, health biotechnology, smart mobility, AI, cybersecurity, and quantum science. Innovation and technology cooperation remain central pillars of India-Israel bilateral relations, strengthened under the India-Israel Innovation Bridge initiative, which promotes joint research and development and business partnerships.

In the quantum and deep-tech segment, Modi received briefings from Quantum Machines on developments at the Israeli Quantum Computing Centre and from Classiq, a company focused on simplifying quantum software development. In health-tech and AI, startup AISAP demonstrated an AI-powered point-of-care ultrasound system that provides real-time diagnostic support. Israel’s Ministry of Science and Technology also presented “Tech Scout,” an AI-driven platform designed for strategic risk detection and trend analysis.

Smart mobility innovations were showcased by Mobileye, which presented advanced sensor and chip technologies aimed at reducing road accidents. In cybersecurity, Check Point Software Technologies highlighted its threat prevention solutions and collaborations in India.

Water and agricultural technologies drew particular attention. WaterGen demonstrated systems capable of producing potable water from air, while N-Drip displayed gravity-powered micro-irrigation systems designed to conserve water and improve efficiency. Natural Offset Farming introduced post-harvest field solutions that reduce food loss without requiring electricity.

Climate and biotechnology innovations were also featured. Remilk presented its precision fermentation technology for producing lab-based milk proteins, while BarAlgae showcased machine-learning-driven microalgae cultivation systems. Mynora Bio highlighted plastic waste management solutions using specialized bio-conversion additives.

In energy and natural resources, the Geophysical Institute demonstrated high-resolution modeling technology for assessing mineral resources. Israel Aerospace Industries presented miniaturized communication satellites and integrated Synthetic Aperture Radar technology for space applications.

Addressing innovators at the exhibition, Modi emphasized that the advanced technologies on display offer immense potential to deepen cooperation between the two nations, particularly in agriculture, water management, healthcare, and digital services. He encouraged Israeli firms to explore opportunities in India to invest, manufacture, and build long-term technology partnerships.

Modi arrived in Israel for a two-day visit, marking his second trip to the country in nine years. In a symbolic gesture underscoring bilateral ties, Netanyahu’s office released photographs of the Israeli leader wearing traditional Indian attire before hosting Modi for dinner in Jerusalem.
