Thakur responds to speculation
Mrunal Thakur has spoken out about ongoing rumours linking her to Tamil actor Dhanush. Speaking to Only Kollywood, the actress described him as “just a good friend” and said she found the speculation “funny”.
She also clarified that Dhanush’s recent appearance at the Son of Sardaar 2 screening had nothing to do with her. “Dhanush attended the Son of Sardaar 2 event. No one should misunderstand that. It was Ajay Devgn who invited him,” she said.
How the rumours started
Rumours began after Thakur was seen at the wrap-up party of Tere Ishq Mein, Dhanush’s upcoming film with director Aanand L Rai. Their brief interaction at the Son of Sardaar 2 screening, widely shared online, added to the speculation.
Reports also noted that Thakur recently followed Dhanush’s sisters on Instagram, which some interpreted as a sign of closeness. Both actors have otherwise kept their personal lives private.
