More than 500 community members, corporate executives, physicians, and civic leaders came together at the Sheraton RTP to celebrate the 15th Annual Gala of NCIAP People’s Medical Care, marking a major milestone in the organization’s mission to expand affordable healthcare access across North Carolina.
The annual gala serves not only as a celebration of impact but also as one of NCIAP’s most important fundraising efforts. Contributions ranged from $300 individual tickets to major corporate sponsorships and leadership gifts of up to $50,000. These funds help close the financial gap that allows NCIAP to provide essential medical services to more than 5,000 uninsured and underinsured adults each year.
Founded in 2011, NCIAP was established to address a growing healthcare crisis affecting individuals without insurance or those unable to afford traditional healthcare systems. Through a transparent direct-pay model, the nonprofit delivers high-quality primary and specialty care at affordable rates, with most visits starting at just $55.

NCIAP’s comprehensive services include chronic disease management, women’s health, preventive screenings, respiratory and gastrointestinal care, musculoskeletal treatment, and on-site laboratory services. By offering consistent and accessible care, the organization reduces reliance on emergency rooms and urgent care facilities, providing patients with continuity and stability in their healthcare journey.
Over the past 15 years, NCIAP has facilitated more than 60,000 patient visits through its Raleigh clinic. For many individuals and families, the organization represents their only dependable source of medical care. Its work has become a vital safety net within the region’s healthcare landscape.
This year’s gala brought together a diverse cross-section of supporters, including representatives from major corporations, financial institutions, healthcare systems, and community organizations. Sponsorship opportunities ranged from Silver to Platinum levels, enabling businesses to align their philanthropic goals with measurable community impact. Organizers emphasized that every $500 donation allows NCIAP to serve 10 additional patients, underscoring the tangible results of community support.
The evening also included recognition of dedicated volunteers and long-standing supporters who have played a critical role in the organization’s growth. Honorees included volunteer physician and board mentor Dr. Bal Krishan Agarwal, Human Resources Director Sangeeta Saxena, and longtime community partner Anita Punj, who has provided years of childcare support during gala events.
As NCIAP looks to the future, its mission remains steadfast: ensuring that lack of insurance never prevents individuals from receiving quality medical care. The strong attendance and generous contributions at this year’s gala reflect a continued commitment from the community to sustain and expand affordable healthcare access throughout North Carolina.
With healthcare costs continuing to challenge working families, NCIAP’s model demonstrates that community-driven solutions can create lasting, meaningful change.
