Nita Mukesh Ambani, chairperson of Reliance Foundation and a leading patron of Indian arts, has set social media abuzz after her latest appearance for the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) India Weekend launch in New York.
In a video message that has since gone viral, Nita Ambani welcomed audiences from New York and around the world to the much-anticipated India Weekend, to be held at the Lincoln Center from September 12 to 14, 2025.

“We Will Spotlight the Soul of India in All Its Glory”
Draped in a striking red silk saree adorned with intricate gold brocade embroidery and broad double borders, Nita Ambani exuded timeless elegance. She paired the saree with a matching red blouse featuring gold threadwork and complemented the look with bold gold jewelry—a massive pendant necklace, matching earrings, rings, and kadhas.
The ensemble was a tribute to India’s rich textile heritage and the craftsmanship of Indian artisans, but it was her statement jewelry that truly stole the spotlight.

What to Expect at NMACC India Weekend
The three-day cultural extravaganza will begin with the US premiere of The Great Indian Musical: Civilisation to Nation at the David H Koch Theatre. This grand production will feature over 100 performers, opulent costumes, and larger-than-life sets, tracing India’s journey from ancient times to independence.
The opening night will also include an invite-only red carpet “Grand Swagat” and the “Swadesh Fashion Show” curated by Manish Malhotra, spotlighting traditional Indian weaves and artisans. Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna will present a special menu celebrating Indian flavors from ancient to modern.
Beyond the stage, Damrosch Park will transform into a “Great Indian Bazaar,” offering guests experiences in Indian fashion, textiles, dance, yoga, music, and cuisine, making it a true celebration of India’s vibrant culture.
