Actor Preity Zinta recently shared her relief after returning safely to Mumbai following what she described as a stressful international trip. The actor said she felt especially grateful to be back home in India and able to celebrate Holi with her family and friends.

Preity shared her thoughts through a post on Instagram, where she also posted several pictures from the festive celebration. The photos showed her enjoying the occasion with loved ones, including her husband Gene Goodenough. In the images, the couple and their family members were covered in bright colors, smiling and enjoying the festival together.

In the caption accompanying the photos, the actor expressed deep gratitude for being able to celebrate Holi at home after what she called a difficult travel experience. She said the past few weeks had been challenging due to ongoing global tensions and uncertainty.

“So grateful to be back home in Mumbai after a very stressful trip from across the world,” she wrote. Preity added that she felt even more thankful to be safe and surrounded by loved ones during the festival.

The actor also reflected on the difficult situations faced by many people across the world. She said her thoughts and prayers were with individuals who are currently dealing with conflict, insecurity, or separation from their families.

Preity expressed hope that those affected by violence or instability would find safety, support, and comfort. She ended her message by wishing everyone celebrating Holi a joyful festival and sending “love and light” to her followers.

Preity’s travel experience comes at a time of rising tensions between the United States and Iran. The situation escalated in late February 2026 after the US, along with Israel, carried out air and missile strikes on Iranian nuclear and military facilities.

According to officials, the strikes were intended to limit Iran’s nuclear program. In response, Iran launched missiles and drones targeting Israeli locations and positions linked to US forces in the Middle East.

The military exchanges raised fears of a wider regional conflict and disrupted travel routes and commercial activity in the region. The tension has also affected shipping lanes near the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important oil transit routes.

On the professional front, Preity is preparing for her return to the big screen with the upcoming period drama Lahore 1947. The film is directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan.

The movie features a strong ensemble cast including Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh, and Karan Deol.

The film’s music is composed by A. R. Rahman with lyrics written by Javed Akhtar.

Scheduled to release on August 13, the film marks Preity Zinta’s return to cinema after a long break, and fans are eagerly waiting to see her back on screen.
