Ranbir Kapoor shares update on Animal Park
Actor Ranbir Kapoor announced that the shoot for Animal Park will kick off in 2027. He shared the news during a live session on Instagram for his 43rd birthday, speaking directly to fans about the project.
Ranbir described his discussions with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga on the film’s concept, music, and characters as “crazy” and expressed excitement about stepping on set.
Animal Park: The sequel to Animal
Animal Park is the sequel to the 2023 action-drama Animal, which starred Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Bobby Deol, Shakti Kapoor, and Saurabh Sachdeva in key roles. Producer Bhushan Kumar had previously confirmed that filming would only begin after Ranbir completes Spirit with Prabhas.
Busy 2026 ahead for Ranbir Kapoor
Before Animal Park begins production, Ranbir has a packed schedule with two major films releasing in 2026:
- Ramayana Part 1 – Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ranbir portrays Lord Rama. The film draws from the epics Valmiki’s Ramayan and Tulsidas’s Ramcharitmanas. Co-stars include Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Yash as Raavana, and Ravie Dubey as Laxman, along with a star-studded supporting cast.
- Love And War – A romance drama by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, featuring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The film has already seen intense fight sequences between Ranbir and Vicky shot in Sicily, Italy.
