Ranveer Singh reacts as Dhurandhar breaks records
Actor Ranveer Singh shares a cryptic note on social media as Dhurandhar continues its historic run at the domestic box office. The film has crossed $42 million in net collections in India, according to Sacnilk, placing it among the biggest Hindi hits in recent years.
The actor posts the message on Instagram Stories, reflecting on fate, patience and what he refers to as “nazar,” or the evil eye, amid the film’s runaway success.
‘Fate changes with time,’ writes Ranveer
Ranveer’s note reads: “Fate has a beautiful habit — it changes when the time comes. But for now… the evil eye, and patience.”
The message is widely interpreted as a response to the intense attention surrounding the film’s performance and his career momentum.

Box office milestones continue
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh reports that Dhurandhar posts the highest-ever second Saturday collection in the history of Hindi cinema. The film earns approximately $6.5 million on its second Saturday alone, overtaking previous record-holders.
Other films on the list trail behind, with second-Saturday figures ranging between roughly $5.6 million and $3 million, underscoring the scale of Dhurandhar’s performance and its rare staying power beyond opening weekend buzz.
About Dhurandhar
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar follows the story of Hamza, an Indian spy who infiltrates Pakistan and becomes part of gangster Rehman Dakait’s network. The narrative draws inspiration from real-life events, including the 2001 Parliament attack and the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, framing its story against the broader India–Pakistan conflict.
The film stars Ranveer Singh alongside Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi and Sara Arjun. A second installment is scheduled for theatrical release on March 19 next year.
With record-setting numbers and sustained audience interest, Dhurandhar positions itself not just as a commercial juggernaut, but as one of the defining Hindi box office stories of the year.
