While Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic home Mannat undergoes a grand revamp, the superstar and his family are living in a lavish Pali Hill apartment. Gauri Khan shares fresh details on the renovation timeline and their temporary move.

Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan’s palatial sea-facing residence, Mannat, is currently being revamped, prompting the Khan family to temporarily shift to a rented property in Mumbai’s posh Pali Hill area. The massive renovation project began earlier this year after reportedly receiving long-pending approvals for structural extensions.
In the interim, Shah Rukh, along with wife Gauri Khan and children Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam, have moved into a luxury four-floor apartment leased from producer Vashu Bhagnani’s family. The residence, known as Puja Casa, is co-owned by Bhagnani’s children—actor Jackky Bhagnani and producer Deepshika Deshmukh.
Gauri Khan Breaks Silence on Mannat’s Renovation
In a recent interview with News18 Showsha, Gauri Khan—who is also an acclaimed interior designer—shared an update on the progress at Mannat. She revealed that the work is currently underway and expected to be completed within the next year.
Speaking alongside discussions about her latest design ventures, including the launch of the Gauri Khan Designs experience centre in Delhi, she said, “The renovation is progressing well. It’s a long project, but we’re hopeful that Mannat will be ready next year.”
The update comes as a relief for fans and tourists alike, many of whom regularly gather outside the iconic bungalow in Bandra to catch a glimpse of their favorite star or click pictures of the legendary home.
Inside the Khan Family’s Temporary Residence
The Pali Hill apartment, though not as grand as Mannat, is a luxurious setup. Sources close to the development revealed that Shah Rukh’s production company, Red Chillies Entertainment, entered into a leave and license agreement to rent four floors of the property for $28,915 per month.
The sprawling space comfortably houses not only the entire Khan family but also their personal security, staff, and even a small office. “It is clearly not as capacious as Mannat, but there is enough space to accommodate his security and other staff,” a source said.
What’s Keeping the Khans Busy?
While the family awaits their return to Mannat, each member has their own slate of projects. Shah Rukh Khan and daughter Suhana are shooting for King, an action film directed by Siddharth Anand and reportedly featuring Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, and Anil Kapoor, among others.
Meanwhile, Aryan Khan is preparing for his directorial debut with Ba**ds of Bollywood, slated for a 2025 release on Netflix.
With Mannat’s revamp promising a fresh chapter in the Khan family’s legacy, and their professional endeavors in full swing, the superstar household continues to remain at the heart of Bollywood’s cultural spotlight.
