Shangri-La Tanjung Aru, Kota Kinabalu, has announced that two of its colleagues have been honored at the Stelliers Asia 2025 Hoteliers Awards, widely regarded as the “Oscars of the hospitality industry.”
Joyce Murang, Quality Improvement and ESG Manager won the CSR Hotelier of the Year 2025 and Su Mon Fung, Landscaping Service Manager, was recognized as a Green Finalist.
Murang was awarded for her leadership in corporate social responsibility and ESG initiatives that have created a meaningful impact on both the resort and surrounding communities. Her work in driving sustainable practices, community engagement programs, and continuous quality improvement has set a new benchmark for purpose-driven hospitality in the region.
Fung earned her recognition for innovation and commitment to sustainable landscaping. Through her leadership, the resort has introduced green practices that enhance biodiversity, promote environmental responsibility, and create serene outdoor spaces that elevate guest experiences.
