Twinkle Khanna has once again blended humor and sharp commentary in her latest column, taking on everything from fake news to domestic debates with husband Akshay Kumar and mother Dimple Kapadia. The former Bollywood actor turned best-selling author responded to bizarre online rumors suggesting Akshay Kumar and actor Vicky Kaushal were allegedly fighting over rights to a film based on the military operation dubbed Operation Sindoor.
Twinkle recounted how she immediately rang up Akshay to get the truth, only to be met with an odd response: “My leg is on fire, we’ll talk later.” Thinking it was just another one of his excuses to dodge her, Twinkle rolled her eyes—until he actually walked in with a bandaged calf. “Apparently, his leg was truly on fire for a scene,” she revealed, driving home her point about how difficult it’s become to distinguish real from fake in today’s media chaos.

This sharp observation came in response to viral tweets and fake headlines claiming a clash between Akshay Kumar and Vicky Kaushal over Operation Sindoor, a film announced shortly after India’s real-life cross-border military strike.
The film, produced by Nicky Vicky Bhagnani Films and The Content Engineer, came under fire for its poster, which showed a woman soldier holding a rifle in one hand and sindoor in the other—surrounded by tanks and jets. After receiving backlash, the makers issued an apology, explaining their intent to honour the bravery of Indian soldiers.
Twinkle didn’t stop there. She also humorosly called out the misinformation overload, mocking decisions by Indian music companies to erase Pakistani artists from album covers. “I propose we get all of Abida Parveen and Farida Khanum’s songs redubbed by our very own Dhinchak Pooja,” she quipped sarcastically.
The column also took a personal turn when she shared a domestic spat with her mother, veteran actor Dimple Kapadia. The disagreement? The quality of paneer produced at Twinkle’s home. Dimple argued that her household could yield 250 grams of paneer from one litre of milk, while Twinkle’s kitchen only managed 180 grams. According to Dimple, it wasn’t about dairy—“but maternal failure,” Twinkle relayed with her signature deadpan humour.
From debunking social media hoaxes to turning a conversation about homemade cheese into a satirical goldmine, Twinkle Khanna’s column once again proves why she remains one of India’s most incisive and entertaining voices.
