Acclaimed filmmaker and actor Vineeth Sreenivasan is venturing into new territory with his next directorial outing, titled ‘Karam’, starring Noble Babu Thomas in the lead role. The much-anticipated Malayalam action thriller is all set to hit the big screen on September 25, 2025.
First Look Poster and Story Hints
On July 16, the makers unveiled the first poster of Karam, which not only revealed the title and release date but also offered a glimpse into its intense central character. Known for helming films with themes of love, friendship, and family, Karam marks Vineeth Sreenivasan’s first foray into the action thriller genre. The new poster sets a darker, grittier tone compared to his previous works, promising a dramatic shift in storytelling.

While Noble Babu Thomas has been confirmed as the lead actor, the rest of the cast remains under wraps. The film is jointly produced by Visakh Subramaniam and Vineeth Sreenivasan under the banners Merryland Cinemas and Habit of Life. Composer Shaan Rahman, a frequent collaborator with Vineeth, is also reportedly associated with the project, heightening anticipation among fans.
Responding to a fan’s query on social media, Vineeth clarified that unlike several of his past films, Karam will have no narrative connection to Chennai, setting it apart in both theme and location.

Vineeth Sreenivasan, known for films like Hridayam and Thattathin Marayathu, has typically taken long intervals between his directorial projects. But following the success of Varshangalkku Shesham, which is currently streaming on Sony LIV and OTTplay Premium, he has speedily announced Karam.
