The civil rights lawyer has assured to make California more affordable, make it easier to start a business and find a good-paying job

INDIAN-AMERICAN Democrat Anuj Dixit, who is running for the US House of Representatives in California’s 41st congressional district, has been endorsed by the Indian American Impact Fund, which supports South Asian political candidates.
The fund executive director, Chintan Patel, highlighted Dixit’s commitment toward middle-class families, emphasizing his background as a civil rights lawyer and son of immigrants.
“Anuj understands the challenges facing working and middle-class families because he’s lived them—and he’s spent his career fighting for the rights and dignity of others,” he added.
Dixit has already got the support from Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders Rising & Empowering Political Action Committee (ASPIRE PAC), a forum backed by Asian-Americans in the Democratic party, and an initial fundraising effort of $150,000.
Dixit accused the Republican incumbent Ken Calvert of not working for the middle class.
He assured his voters that he would make California more affordable, make it easier to start a business, find a good-paying job, and help more Americans progress in life.
He aims to go after the big businesses that “buy elections and dodge taxes” and fight to cut taxes for the middle class.
Dixit, who was born to immigrant parents from India, and grew up on March Air Force Base in Riverside County.
His father is a six-year veteran of the US Air Force and the family runs a health clinic.
Dixit is a graduate of UCLA and Columbia Law School.
California’s 41st Congressional District is considered a swing district, and the Democratic party is keen to upset Calvert, an incumbent for 30 years, in the 2026 elections.
