Fans of Tamil cinema icon Ajith Kumar were left concerned after news broke of his sudden hospitalization on Wednesday. The actor was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai after sustaining a leg injury upon his arrival at Chennai International Airport from New Delhi.

The injury reportedly occurred when Ajith was mobbed by fans and mediapersons, resulting in discomfort that required immediate medical attention.

However, putting an end to the anxiety, a much-anticipated update confirmed that Ajith has been discharged from the hospital. He underwent preliminary treatment and a physiotherapy session before doctors advised him to take complete rest for the next few weeks to allow proper recovery. The actor is currently recuperating at home.

The incident came just a day after Ajith received the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian honour, from President Droupadi Murmu at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Monday. The award recognized Ajith’s significant contributions to Indian cinema over the years.

On the professional front, Ajith has been keeping busy with back-to-back releases. His recent films, Vidaamuyarchi and Good Bad Ugly, hit theatres in quick succession. While Vidaamuyarchi garnered a mixed response and performed moderately at the box office, Good Bad Ugly turned out to be a massive commercial success, winning both critical acclaim and audience appreciation.

Meanwhile, rumours surrounding Ajith’s next film are gaining traction on social media, with fans eagerly awaiting an official announcement. With his health now stable, all eyes are on what the celebrated actor will choose as his next cinematic venture.
