A clean slate on social media

Amy Schumer has hit reset on Instagram. The 44-year-old comedian and actress deleted every post from her account this week, surprising fans with a single new upload on November 11. The photo shows her smiling in a Valentino red silk-wool mini dress, paired with Chanel heels a confident comeback shot that drew thousands of likes within hours.

Her caption read, “I actually left my house tonight. Who’s proud? I’m feeling good and happy. Deleted my old pics for no reason!”

Before wiping her profile, Amy had hinted at the change by sharing a screenshot of her very first Instagram post on her Stories, writing, “My first ever Insta post. I’m gonna erase them all cause why not?”

After health battles and body talk

The move comes shortly after a series of posts chronicling her weight loss journey. Schumer has spoken openly about her struggles with different treatments from her difficult experience with Ozempic to finding better results with Mounjaro earlier this year.

Speaking on The Howard Stern Show in January, she said, “I have this gene, GDF15, which makes you extremely prone to nausea... I tried Ozempic almost three years ago and was bedridden. But other people take it and they’re all good, so God bless them.”

By March, she told fans she was finally feeling “great” after switching treatments, crediting the change for improving both her health and confidence.

Championing women’s health and self-acceptance

Beyond her own transformation, Amy has used her platform to speak up for women’s health. After revealing her diagnosis of Cushing syndrome in 2024, she urged women to prioritize their well-being and challenge body shaming.

“The shaming and criticism of our ever-changing bodies is something I have dealt with and witnessed for a long time,” she wrote then. “I want women to love themselves and fight for their health in a system that often doesn’t believe them.”

Whether her Instagram wipe signals a new chapter or just a moment of digital decluttering, Amy Schumer seems ready to move forward on her own terms, with humor intact.
