Netflix's The Ba**ds of Bollywood* has turned into a global sensation. Since its release two weeks ago, the series has not only secured the number one spot on Netflix India's Top 10 list but also continues to feature in the Top 5 Non-English TV shows worldwide.

The show's success has sparked a wave of reels, memes and discussions across social media. Reflecting on the journey, directed Aryan Khan shared the struggles and inspiration that fueled him through the process.

“Whenever things got difficult, I’d hear Jaraj’s voice in my head, ‘Haarne mein aur haar maanne mein bohot farak hota hai’ (There’s a big difference between losing and accepting defeat). At first, I thought it was motivation, but soon realised it was just a lack of sleep and fatigue. Still, that vision kept me going, and now to see the happiness my work has brought people is deeply emotional for me... it is why I do what I do, it is what drew me to storytelling.”

He also expressed gratitude for overwhelming global response. “The love from around the world has been incredible, with the show trending across countries and filling timelines with reels, memes, and fan theories. What began as my story now truly belongs to the audience, and it’s only because of Netflix that this story could reach homes across the globe. As Jaraj would humbly say — Ab pehechana?”

Adding to the excitement, actor Rajat Bedi, who plays Jaraj Saxena in the series, confirmed that a second season is on the way. “Yes, season two is happening. It’s in the works. I’m hopeful that audiences are going to see more of me in the second season,” he revealed.

The series features a star-studded ensemble cast including Lakshya Lalwani, Sahher Bambba, Raghav Juyal, Gautami Kapoor, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, and Anya Singh. It also features cameos from Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Karan Johar, adding to the buzz around the show.

With its mix gripping storytelling, powerful performances, and cultural conversations, Aryan Khan's debut has firmly established him as a fresh voice in the world of entertainment.
