Bowler in Indian police uniform impresses with wicket-shattering pace at nets; WATCH

WHILE India remains a cricket-crazy country, excitement around the game is even rising as the 50-world cup approaches and recently, a man caught the eyes of social media for doing something special — shattering a batter’s stumps at will while bowling at the nets wearing a uniform. Not a cricketing one but that of the police!

Mumbai Indians, one of the successful franchises of India’s popular Indian Premier League (IPL) recently posted a video of the incident and the bowler, who has a nice side-arm action, was called the greatest net bowler.

While the place was not mentioned, one would believe that it was from Mumbai.

In a caption accompanying the video, the Indians wrote, ‘Hello 100 (emergency police number), we’d like to report a case of fiery pace’.

The policeman bowler dismantled the timber of the batters facing him a number of times.

Netizens came up with diverse reactions to the video with one saying he is a better bowler than Arjun Tendulkar, son of Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar who is a left-arm seamer. Another asked whether the policeman could bowl that well to the son of his senior officer.

Some found fault with the batters saying they picked his deliveries late.
