Laxmmi Bomb to release on Akshay Kumar’s birthday?

Akshay Kumar starrer Laxmmi Bomb was slated to hit the big screens on Eid this year. But, due to the pandemic, the film will now get a direct-to-digital release on Disney+ Hotstar.

Fans of Akshay have been waiting to know when the movie will release and when the trailer will be out. And now, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the movie will release on 9^th September 2020 and the trailer will be out on 18^th August.

A source told the portal, “It is common knowledge by now that Akshay Kumar’s lucky number is 9. He tries his best to ensure that his films and its trailer releases on dates that add up to 9. Continuing this tradition, Akshay along with the producers of Laxmmi Bomb has decided to unveil the trailer on August 18.”

“Also, Laxmmi Bomb will release on September 9. This date is significant for one more reason as it’s also Akshay Kumar’s birthday. Laxmmi Bomb is a special film and this is the best gift he’ll be giving to his fans on his special day,” added the source.

Directed by Raghava Lawrence, Laxmmi Bomb is a remake of Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana which was also helmed by Lawrence. The movie also stars Kiara Advani and Sharad Kelkar.
