The production company of Vijay’s much-anticipated final film, Jana Nayagan, has released an official statement after the movie was leaked online before its theatrical release.
The film was originally scheduled to be released on January 9, but was delayed after it did not receive certification from the CBFC and has remained pending for three months.
KVN Productions stated that scenes and, in some cases, most of the film have been illegally accessed, copied, and circulated by unknown individuals, creating a serious piracy issue.
The company warned that downloading, viewing, storing, or sharing the leaked content on platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, or torrents is a criminal offense and violates copyright laws.
They also confirmed that investigations, including forensic analysis, have begun, and legal action will be taken against everyone involved in the circulation chain.
The statement advised the public not to engage with the leaked content and to delete it immediately if received.
The incident has impacted the Tamil film industry, with several actors, including Chiranjeevi and Suriya, speaking out against piracy and supporting the filmmakers.
Directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, the film also stars Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, and Mamitha Baiju, along with Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, and Priyamani.
