Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando are engaged after four years of dating, Page Six has confirmed. The couple sparked speculation earlier in the week when they appeared together at the Los Angeles world premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash, where Cyrus’ new song, “Dream As One,” is featured. On the red carpet, the singer made sure her striking diamond ring — set in a thick yellow gold band — was front and center.
The ring was custom-designed by jeweler Jacquie Aiche, whose representative shared that the piece features a cushion-cut stone in a bold 14-karat gold setting. Cyrus, 33, stunned at the premiere in a black strapless sequin gown with a sculpted bodice and dramatic ruffled skirt, while Morando, 27, opted for a classic black suit and white shirt.
A few hours after the premiere, Morando’s father, Dan Morando, all but confirmed the engagement by sharing celebratory photos from a private dinner at a sushi restaurant. His post included close-ups of the ring, as well as sweet shots of the couple embracing and smiling with loved ones.
Cyrus was first spotted wearing the ring in mid-November, according to Deuxmoi, and she later flaunted it while celebrating her 33rd birthday. In an Instagram post reflecting on the celebration, she thanked fans for their warm wishes, adding that she looked forward to more laughter with the people who bring her joy.
Cyrus and Morando began dating several years ago after being set up on a blind date at least on her side as she told British Vogue in 2023. The pair first appeared publicly together at Gucci’s “Love Parade” fashion show in November 2021. They grew increasingly open about their relationship, sharing moments at New Year’s Eve events, award shows, and fashion runways.
Their bond deepened professionally as well, with Morando contributing to Cyrus’ music. He supported her at the 2024 Grammy Awards, where she took home record of the year and best pop solo performance for “Flowers.” The couple shared a celebratory kiss, and Cyrus acknowledged her “love” during her speech.
By mid-2024, reports indicated the couple had moved in together. Friends described Cyrus as calmer and more grounded, crediting Morando, known for his private nature and work with bands like Liily and The Regrettes, with bringing a positive influence to her life. Cyrus later told Harper’s Bazaar that despite their generational differences, Morando “inspires [her] so much.”
