Modi is afraid of China, says Rahul Gandhi over ‘increasing Chinese infiltration’

INDIAN opposition leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday (11) lashed out at the Narendra Modi government over “increasing Chinese infiltration” into Indian territory and said the prime minister’s “silence” on it is “very harmful” for the country.

Gandhi, the former president of the Indian National Congress, also shared five “truths” about Modi, alleging that he is “afraid” of China and hides the reality while protecting his own image.

“Some truths about the prime minister: 1. Is afraid of China. 2. Hides the truth from the public. 3. Just protects his own image. 4. Lowers the morale of the Army. 5. Plays with the security of the country,” Gandhi said in a tweet in Hindi.

“The increasing infiltration by China and the prime minister’s silence are very harmful for the country,” he added.

Gandhi has been attacking Modi on the issue of China’s transgressions into Indian territory and the latter’s handling of the issue.

His party, which was in power when China handed India a humiliating defeat in the 1962 war, has been alleging that China continues to occupy the Indian territory and the Modi government has done nothing to claim it back.
