Global launch for mobile Destiny title
NetEase Games has launched Destiny: Rising, a new free-to-play sci-fi RPG shooter, worldwide on iOS and Android devices. Developed and published by NetEase under licence from Bungie, the game offers players a fresh chapter in the Destiny universe through an alternate timeline set after the Dark Age.
The title amassed over 10 million pre-registrations before release, reflecting strong anticipation from the franchise’s global fanbase.
Classic and new gameplay experiences
Destiny: Rising combines both familiar and new gameplay elements. Players can take on story-driven missions, explore co-operative and competitive multiplayer modes, and experience large-scale battles. Campaign content, 6-player strikes, PvE and PvP challenges, and replayable missions form the backbone of the experience.
Multiplayer remains central to the game, with players able to join clans, host party modes, customise shared hubs, and team up or compete against friends.
Story and setting
The game introduces a new narrative arc where players, alongside the legendary Iron Lords, explore the Red Sea Rift, uncover the Cabal’s schemes, and attempt to lift a curse affecting Veridia. Characters — both iconic and newly created — offer unique skills and storylines, adding depth to the campaign and replayability.
