The series, which follows American football coach Ted Lasso as he navigates the challenges of coaching a London-based soccer team, Richmond AFC, has been praised for its heartwarming tone and sharp humor.
Apple CEO Tim Cook shared the photo on social media, captioning it “From biscuits to BBQ,” nodding to the show’s blend of British and American cultural elements. Returning executive producers Brett Goldstein and Brendan Hunt will reprise their roles as Roy Kent and Beard. Goldstein, in particular, has earned two Emmys for his performance on the show.
Originally premiering in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ted Lasso quickly became a critical darling, amassing 61 Emmy nominations and winning 13 awards across its first three seasons. Season 3 wrapped up in May 2023, leaving fans eager for more.
