Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, one of India’s most influential celebrity couples, continue to strengthen their real estate portfolio with a major investment near Mumbai. The duo has reportedly purchased a second land parcel in Alibaug, a popular coastal destination known for its privacy, greenery, and upscale residential developments.
According to property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix, the couple acquired the land on Tuesday (13) in Zirad village, close to the picturesque Awas Beach in Maharashtra’s Raigad district. The transaction value stands at approximately $4.56 million, making it one of the notable celebrity property deals in the region. In addition to the purchase price, Kohli and Sharma paid around $273,000 in stamp duty along with a registration fee of roughly $360.
This latest acquisition marks their second land purchase in Alibaug within the last four years, signaling the couple’s long-term interest in the area as a retreat close to Mumbai. Alibaug has increasingly become a preferred destination for high-profile individuals seeking serene living away from the city while remaining well-connected.
Property records reveal that the couple’s first plot in Alibaug spans approximately 158,700 square feet, while the newly acquired land measures around 67,500 square feet. Combined, their holdings in the region total over 226,000 square feet, giving them ample space for future residential or leisure development.
Beyond Alibaug, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma own several premium properties across India. Their real estate assets include a luxury apartment in Mumbai’s upscale Worli neighborhood and a sprawling bungalow in Gurugram. These homes reflect the couple’s preference for comfort, exclusivity, and modern design.
Their wealth, however, extends far beyond real estate. According to reports, Virat Kohli has built a strong business portfolio, owning popular fashion and athleisure brands such as One8 (in partnership with Puma) and WROGN. He has also invested in companies including Rage Coffee, Galactus Funware, Hyperice, and Sports Convo. Anushka Sharma is the founder of the clothing brand Nush and has her own set of strategic investments.
Together, the couple shares joint stakes in ventures like Blue Tribe, a plant-based meat startup, and Digit Insurance, reflecting their interest in sustainable and future-focused businesses.
Married since December 11, 2017, following an intimate ceremony in Tuscany, Italy, Kohli and Sharma are parents to daughter Vamika, born in January 2021, and son Akaay, born in February 2024. On the professional front, Anushka Sharma was last seen on screen opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Zero (2018) and has since been selective with her acting projects.
