Ace India batter Virat Kohli has hit the purple patch after a prolonged lean phase and of late, he has been found going for spiritual trips to ashrams in northern India with his wife Anushka Sharma and daughter Vamika in between national assignments.

The 34-year-old, who recently went to Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh with his family, has now been spotted at a spiritual place in the northern state of Uttarakhand and pictures and videos of the power couple went viral on the internet.

As per reports, Kohli and Sharma went to Swami Dayanand Ji Maharaj’s samadhi at Swami Dayanad Ashram in Rishikesh in Uttarakhand. The popular cricketer found himself surrounded by admirers who sought his autographs and he was found obliging by signing a cricket ball.

While signing the ball, Kohli, who sported a tilak on his forehead, was also seen reminding the fans politely that it was an ashram.

Kohli and Sharma also organised a ‘Bhandara’ (community kitchen) during their trip.

Kohli is not playing the ongoing T20 series against New Zealand and will take the field in the high-profile four-Test series against Australia at home starting February 9.

The batter recently belted three centuries in one-day internationals (ODIs) against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka but did not get runs in the three-match ODI series against the Kiwis.

He will now be looking to add to his tally of Test centuries (27) in the upcoming series.
