WATCH: On International Dance Day, 2 US ice skaters’ old performance to Bollywood songs goes viral

Wherever you go, you will never be too far away from songs belted out by India’s Bollywood.

Recently, an old video surfaced showing American former competitive ice dancers and Olympians and world champions Meryl Davis and Charlie White skating on some of the most famous popular Bollywood numbers in Vancouver in Canada and it went viral on social media.

On the occasion of the International Dance Day which was on Saturday (29), the official page of the Olympics posted the video of the duo skating on ice and with the choice of their songs and attire, the clip became truly entertaining.

The caption of the post said, “Bas dekhte hi reh jaoge (you have to see to believe it)!! This International Dance Day watch Meryl Davis and Charlie White’s iconic performance to classic Bollywood hits at Vancouver 2010!”

The pair starts with ‘Kajra Re’, a famous song from 2005 Bollywood film ‘Bunty Aur Babli’. Their performance also featured ‘Silsila Ye Chahat Ka’ and ‘Dola Re Dola’ from the 2002 movie ‘Devdas’.

The duo made smooth spins, gave jolting jumps and added some moves from India’s kathak dance style to present an astounding performance.

The video accumulated more than 91,000 likes at the time of writing this report and comments poured in with users praising the duet.

“Watched a billion times, yet goosebumps,” said one user.

“A special mention to Charlie White! So graceful and accurate with his movements!!!! Not many men can dance like that, with the perfect body language,” wrote another.

Another said, “Bollywood supremacy”.
