Shaheen Bhatt, daughter of Mahesh Bhatt and Soni Razdan, has announced her engagement to her boyfriend Ishaan Mehra. She shared the news on Instagram on Friday (17) with a series of photos.

In one picture, Shaheen Bhatt showed her engagement ring while holding Ishaan close. In another, she rested her head on his shoulder. Along with the images, she wrote, “We may have overdone this whole liking each other thing.”

Her sister, Alia Bhatt, reacted to the announcement on Instagram Stories. She reshared the post and wrote that she was “currently weeping,” expressing her excitement and emotion over the engagement.

Several celebrities also congratulated the couple in the comments. Parineeti Chopra wrote, “The Unbreakable Vow!” Filmmaker Zoya Akhtar commented, “Congos and bongos.” Ananya Panday shared her happiness, writing that she was very happy for Shaheen and wished her love and joy. Navya Naveli Nanda and Shanaya Kapoor also congratulated the couple.

Shaheen Bhatt had made her relationship with Ishaan Mehra public in April last year. At that time, she shared a photo of herself resting her chin on his shoulder as he took a selfie. In another picture, Ishaan was seen lying on the grass. Before that, she had shared photos with him but had not revealed his identity.

The Bhatt and Kapoor families had also taken a trip to Thailand during the New Year. Shaheen shared pictures from the trip on Instagram. In one image, she posed next to Ishaan, and in another, the two were seen cuddling on a cruise.

Before her relationship with Ishaan Mehra, Shaheen Bhatt was in a relationship with comedian Rohan Joshi. They parted ways a few years ago.

Apart from her personal life, Shaheen Bhatt has also been working as a producer. She recently announced a new project titled Don’t Be Shy!. She will co-produce the project with Alia Bhatt under their production banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions.

The project is a coming-of-age romantic comedy and will feature a cast made up entirely of newcomers. It is written and directed by Sreeti Mukerji. The story follows Shyamili “Shy” Das, a 20-year-old whose life begins to change after unexpected events disrupt her carefully planned future.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is set to appear next in her upcoming film Alpha.
