British prosecutors have filed 21 charges against Andrew and Tristan Tate, including rape, human trafficking, and assault. The charges come as the controversial influencers continue to face legal action in Romania for similar allegations.

Controversial internet personalities and former kickboxing champions Andrew and Tristan Tate are facing serious criminal charges in the United Kingdom, including rape and human trafficking. On Wednesday (28), the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) confirmed that a total of 21 charges have been filed against the brothers, who are both dual U.S.-UK citizens.
According to a statement from the CPS, Andrew Tate, 38, is facing 10 charges, including rape, actual bodily harm, human trafficking, and controlling prostitution for gain. His brother Tristan Tate, 36, has been charged with 11 offenses, including rape and human trafficking, following a file submitted by Bedfordshire Police.
These charges come on top of the 2022 Romanian arrest of the Tate brothers, who were indicted in 2023 for forming an organized criminal group, human trafficking, and rape. The Romanian allegations span multiple countries including the U.S., U.K., and Romania. The brothers were held in Romanian custody until they were released on house arrest in March 2023. They returned to the U.S. in February 2025 before flying back to Romania in March to appear in court.
Tristan Tate told reporters, “We truly deserve the day in court where it is stated that we’ve done nothing wrong… We should have never had our assets seized. We should have never had our names slandered.”
The brothers rose to global notoriety through social media and reality TV. Andrew built a controversial following with his self-help empire targeted at men, including War Room and Hustlers University (later rebranded as The Real World), which critics and investigators have linked to manipulative and exploitative behavior toward women.
Andrew has been banned from major platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram for promoting what has been labeled as “hateful ideology.” Despite this, he still boasts over 10 million followers across various channels.
Their move to Romania in 2017 was reportedly driven by a desire for fewer legal restrictions. In a 2022 interview, now deleted, Andrew said Eastern Europe appealed to him because “corruption is far more accessible.”
If convicted, the brothers face 5–10 years for rape and up to 10 years for human trafficking under Romanian law. UK court proceedings are pending further investigation.
