Two Beta phases planned for Battlefield 6 this August
Sources familiar with the development of Battlefield 6 have revealed that two Beta testing phases are expected to take place in August, ahead of the game’s official launch in October. The information comes from individuals not authorised to speak publicly, but who claim to have direct knowledge of the testing schedule.
The first Beta, a closed phase, is set to run from 7–8 August. Access will reportedly be available through Twitch drops, offered during the Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal, or via pre-ordering the game.
Open Beta likely to follow
According to the same sources, the Beta will then move to an Open Beta phase on 9–10 August, allowing broader access to players across supported platforms. However, these dates have not yet been officially confirmed by EA or DICE, the game’s developer.
A second Open Beta is also planned to take place from 14–17 August, offering players another opportunity to test the game and provide feedback before launch.
Pre-orders and multiplayer reveal
Pre-orders for Battlefield 6 are expected to become available during the official multiplayer reveal event. While the exact format of the reveal has not been disclosed, it is understood that Twitch streamers and content creators will be actively involved in promoting the Beta phase through live broadcasts.
Battle Royale mode remains unconfirmed
There has been ongoing speculation about the inclusion of a free-to-play Battle Royale mode in Battlefield 6. However, sources suggest that it remains unclear whether this feature will be officially discussed during the multiplayer reveal or announced at a later date.
Official release details
Battlefield 6 is scheduled to release on 10 October 2025 for Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 5, and PC, with a standard retail price of $69.99. The game continues the long-running franchise’s tradition of large-scale multiplayer combat, though specific gameplay features and modes are still under wraps.
While the Beta dates have not been officially confirmed by EA, the reported timeline offers a clear indication of how the company intends to ramp up excitement ahead of launch. Players interested in participating are encouraged to follow official Battlefield channels for formal announcements.
