As the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival kicks off from May 13 to May 24, 2025, Indian stars are ready to shine bright on the global stage. With this year’s festival theme, Lights, Beauty and Action, celebrating confidence and self-worth, the spotlight is firmly on the red carpet and those gracing it with style, grace, and cinematic pride.

Veteran actress Sharmila Tagore will also grace the event for a special screening of the 4K restored version of Satyajit Ray’s classic Aranyer Din Ratri. A former Cannes jury member herself, Sharmila’s presence adds a rich cinematic heritage to this year’s lineup.
