- Sara Ali Khan continues to have multiple upcoming film projects
What once appeared to be a friendly bond between actor Sara Ali Khan and social media personality Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, seems to have soured dramatically. Orry recently found himself at the center of online backlash after taking a public and sarcastic dig at Sara’s career in a social media reel, prompting many users to label his behavior “pathetic” and accuse him of bullying.
The controversy began after Sara Ali Khan unfollowed Orry on Instagram. Shortly afterward, Orry shared a reel that appeared to reference the situation indirectly but pointedly. The video was a twist on a reel by creator Amulya Rattan, who had spoken about personal safety and civic sense while recording in public. However, Orry’s adaptation shifted focus, and viewers quickly zeroed in on a comment that seemed aimed squarely at Sara.
In the reel, Orry was seen wearing a blue mesh top featuring a printed dotted outline resembling a bra. A user commented on the post, asking sarcastically, “Genuine question: What exactly is that bra holding together?” Orry responded with, “Sara Ali Khan’s hits.” The remark was widely perceived as a dig at the actor’s box office track record and immediately sparked outrage across platforms.
Social media users were quick to criticize Orry’s response. Many felt the comment was unnecessary and mean-spirited. One Reddit user wrote that Orry’s behavior reflected poorly not just on him but on those associated with him. Another comment read that regardless of opinions about Sara Ali Khan, Orry’s actions were “next-level pathetic” and unbecoming of a grown adult. Several users accused him of chasing attention and clout by dragging a mainstream actor into online drama, while others outright labeled him a “bully.”

The tension between the two reportedly began earlier when Orry shared a reel titled “3 worst names,” in which he listed Sara, Amrita, and Palak without providing surnames. The post raised eyebrows and was seen as a thinly veiled jab at Sara Ali Khan and her family. Following that incident, both Sara and her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan unfollowed Orry, fueling speculation of a fallout.
Despite the online noise, Sara Ali Khan continues to remain focused on her film career. She made her Bollywood debut in 2018 with Kedarnath opposite Sushant Singh Rajput, a film that performed well at the box office. She followed it up with a blockbuster success in Rohit Shetty’s Simmba alongside Ranveer Singh. While some of her subsequent films failed to meet expectations, she scored another hit in 2023 with Zara Hatke Zara Bachke opposite Vicky Kaushal.
Most recently, Sara appeared in Anurag Basu’s Metro… In Dino, which underperformed commercially despite an ensemble cast. She is next set to appear in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, with the film slated for a theatrical release later this year.
As the online debate continues, many users have urged others to stop amplifying Orry’s remarks, arguing that attention only fuels such controversies.
