Rihanna made her first red carpet appearance since giving birth to her daughter, Rocki Irish, in September, joining partner A$AP Rocky at the 2025 CFDA Awards in New York on Monday night.

The singer and entrepreneur described her outfit as a “postpartum-forward look,” calling the Alaïa ensemble “timeless” and “effortless.” The look featured a floor-length black trench coat tied at the waist over a black turtleneck, paired with white trousers tucked into heels.

The event marked the couple’s first public outing since welcoming their third child.

Coordinated appearance as Rocky receives fashion honor

Rihanna and Rocky walked the red carpet together ahead of the ceremony at the American Museum of Natural History. The rapper, who is being honored with the CFDA Fashion Icon award, wore a Chanel suit with white cuff details, layered over a yellow V-neck sweater and paired with cream Chanel shoes. He accessorized with vintage jewelry pieces, including diamond earrings and a 1960s gold collar.

The Fashion Icon award was previously given to Rihanna in 2014. This year’s recognition highlights Rocky’s influence in fashion, including collaborations with Puma and Ray-Ban and creative work through his agency AWGE, which debuted at Paris Fashion Week in 2024. Rocky also co-chaired the 2025 Met Gala.

Rihanna and Rocky have faced ongoing speculation about their relationship status following his reference to himself as a “loving husband” in an October interview.
