Kanye West’s highly anticipated India debut has been cancelled once again, disappointing thousands of fans who had been waiting months to see the rapper perform live for the first time in the country. The concert, scheduled to take place in New Delhi, was officially called off after authorities issued fresh security directives.
Event organizer White Fox announced the cancellation through an Instagram statement. According to the company, government and law enforcement agencies advised it to cancel the event due to public safety concerns. Organizers emphasized that audience safety remained their top priority.
This is the second major setback for Ye’s India concert. Earlier this year, the show had already been postponed because of geopolitical tensions related to the US-Iran situation. After the delay, organizers rescheduled the concert and shifted the venue to Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. The event was expected to become one of the biggest international live music productions hosted in India this year.
White Fox stated that several months of planning and preparation had gone into the concert. Despite the cancellation, the company confirmed that discussions are continuing with Kanye West’s management team to arrange a new date and possible alternate venue for the performance.
Fans who purchased tickets through District will receive full refunds. Organizers said the refund process is expected to take between five and seven business days.
The cancellation also adds to a series of recent disruptions connected to Ye’s international tour plans. Over the past year, several of the rapper’s concerts across different countries have reportedly faced delays, venue changes, cancellations, and logistical issues tied to controversies and security concerns.
