In a resolute message after India’s successful military operation against terror hubs in Pakistan, prime minister Narendra Modi firmly declared that the country will not tolerate any form of nuclear blackmail. Speaking after the bold execution of Operation Sindoor, which targeted key terrorist camps in Bahawalpur and Muridke, PM Modi sent a clear signal to Pakistan and the global community that India’s patience has limits when it comes to national security.
“India will not tolerate any sort of nuclear blackmail,” said Modi during his address to the nation on Monday (12), reflecting the government’s assertive position following recent escalations. The remarks came in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack that claimed innocent lives and deeply shocked the nation.
Modi highlighted the significance of the mission, stating, “Pakistan prepared for war, but India hit at their heart, destroying terror headquarters.” He applauded the Indian armed forces, intelligence agencies, and scientific community for their decisive role in the success of the mission. Referring to the national sentiment behind the operation, he declared, “Operation Sindoor is more than just a name; it embodies the emotions of millions of Indians. It symbolises our commitment to justice.”
The prime minister also addressed the brutal nature of the Pahalgam attack, which he said desecrated the ‘sindoor’ of Indian women—a cultural symbol of marital sanctity. “The terrorists removed the sindoor of our sisters. That’s why India annihilated the terror headquarters,” he stated. According to official sources, more than 100 terrorists were eliminated in the operation.
Modi’s speech underlined a shift in India’s counter-terror approach. “We empowered our forces with a free hand to eliminate terrorists,” he said. This empowerment, he noted, has set a new benchmark in India’s security doctrine. “Operation Sindoor has reshaped the fight against terrorism, establishing a new standard and a new normal.”
The speech marks one of the strongest responses yet from India in terms of direct military retaliation for cross-border terrorism, reinforcing Modi’s doctrine of zero tolerance and strateg
of zero tolerance and strategic assertion.
