E-GUIDE

My Playlist With Bhinasha

Bhinasha.

By: Radhakrishna NS

TALENTED newcomer Bhinasha recently released her debut single Get Ready and is now looking to follow it up with more commercial music.

The 24-year-old from Leicester has diverse influences and that was evident when she selected her top 10 songs.

I Wanna Be Down by Brandy: This song takes me back to the 1990s when I was growing up. One of my favourite songs to jam to in the car and one that helps me to remember my younger days so clearly.

Mi Gente by J Balvin Ft Beyoncé: When this song first came out, I was so obsessed with it. Going to a Beyoncé concert and hearing this being played in a stadium filled with loudspeakers and bass really made me feel in my zone. One of my favourites to do salsa to.

Rain by SWV: I confessed on my Instagram to everyone that when I have the urge to sing and when I’m home alone, this is my go-to track. The vocals and harmony just make the song so beautiful.

Moment For Life by Nicki Minaj Ft Drake: The lyrics in this song by Nicki Minaj are so strong and powerful. On days when I need a bit of strength or motivation, this is the song that makes me appreciate life and everyone who has been a part of it.

Unbreakable Smile by Tori Kelly: She has been one of my idols growing up and still is. She clearly states in the song that no matter what you face in life, the smile that you show to the world will be unbreakable. As well as being a catchy song, it is one where the lyrics really connected with me on a deeper level.

Promesses by Tchami Ft Kaleem Taylor: I was and still am into house music. When a colleague of mine introduced the dance style to house music (shuffling and cutting shapes) she played this song along with it. In the house music dance scene this would be played as a classic and favourite.

Dola Dola by Gayatri Iyer: One of my favourite films is Bride and Prejudice. As well as being a funny film, there is also a lot of meaning behind it, just like this song. It is a favourite of mine to play garba to during Navratri.

Pills and Automobiles by Chris Brown: A song by another idol of mine who makes the most amazing music. This song takes my imagination to another level. For example, performing in front of thousands and taking in the adrenaline from the excitement.

Rock With You by Michael Jackson: His variety in music makes it so easy to enjoy any album of his on repeat. But I chose this song as so many people feel the love from it and I mentioned him in my single Get Ready too.

Get Ready by Bhinasha: My debut single will be a favourite along with any other tracks I will release in the future. Having my family and friends with me on this amazing journey is what motivated me to take this big step. Get Ready was chosen as the name of my single because I want the world to ‘get ready’ for what else is about to come.
