The much-awaited Pan-India action drama Spirit officially launched its promotional journey as the clock struck midnight on January 1, 2026, with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga unveiling the film’s first look. The reveal, timed perfectly with the New Year, instantly set the internet buzzing and reaffirmed Spirit as one of the most talked-about upcoming films in Indian cinema.
This project marks the first collaboration between Vanga and Prabhas—two powerhouses known for their intense screen presence and uncompromising cinematic style. From the moment Spirit was announced, expectations have been sky-high, and the first-look poster has only amplified the excitement among fans and trade circles alike.
In the hours leading up to the reveal, Vanga teased audiences with a cryptic social media post on December 31, writing, “People… A few hours more for SPIRIT – First Poster.” The message quickly went viral, sparking speculation and countdowns across platforms. When the poster finally dropped at midnight, it delivered exactly what fans were hoping for—attitude, scale, and a promise of a hard-hitting cinematic experience.
The promotional strategy closely mirrors the approach Vanga famously used for Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor. That film’s midnight announcement had generated massive online traction, and with Spirit, the director appears to have replicated—and arguably elevated—that strategy, this time targeting a truly Pan-India audience with Prabhas at the center.
Spirit has also remained in the headlines due to a notable casting change earlier in the year. Deepika Padukone, who was initially attached to the project, exited citing concerns over work-hour commitments. The role was subsequently taken over by Triptii Dimri, a decision that further fueled curiosity. The film marks Triptii’s first collaboration with Prabhas and her second with Vanga after Animal, making her casting a point of keen interest.
The ensemble cast also includes Vivek Oberoi and Kanchana, adding further depth to the project. Produced by T-Series, Spirit is being mounted on a grand scale, in line with Vanga’s bold storytelling approach and Prabhas’ massive Pan-India appeal.
With the first look now out and promotional momentum firmly underway, Spirit is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2026, setting an intense, high-voltage tone for the cinematic year ahead.
