British teen tennis star Emma Raducanu has fast evolved as a role model for young tennis players across the world, especially after winning her maiden Grand Slam title at the US Open last year where she entered as a wildcard.
The Canadian-born is always aware of the following she has and acknowledges the effect she might have on budding players and takes out time to spend with kids whenever she is travelling.
Recently, Raducanu went back to her roots at the Paklangley Club for a practice session where besides tennis, sports such as badminton and squash are also played.
She later posted a picture of the badminton court at the club on social media and told her followers that she was back in Parklangley where her career took off.
"Started on these courts," she wrote.
The club also welcomed its successful alumnus and posted a picture of her with other junior players on Twitter.
"Well, this was a nice surprise. Always happy to see a grand slam winning former Parklangley junior at the club," the club said in the tweet.
