Love vs. compatibility: Split opinions
During the “This or That” segment of Two Much, the guests were asked whether love or compatibility matters more in marriage.
Twinkle Khanna and Janhvi Kapoor chose love, while Kajol and Karan Johar said compatibility holds greater weight.
Kajol explained, “Love is the first thing to fade after marriage if you aren’t compatible.” Karan agreed, saying that with time, “other factors become more important than love.”
‘Raat gayi baat gayi’: Twinkle on infidelity
The conversation then turned to emotional versus physical infidelity.
While Janhvi Kapoor said physical cheating was a clear deal breaker, Karan, Kajol, and Twinkle disagreed.
Karan remarked, “Physical infidelity is not a deal breaker,” prompting Janhvi to respond, “No, the deal is broken.”
Twinkle added with a laugh, “We’re in our 50s, she’s in her 20s, and she will get into this circle soon. She hasn’t seen what we have. Raat gayi baat gayi (What’s happened, has happened).”
Her comment sparked laughter, but it also reflected a generational difference in how relationships and forgiveness are viewed.
Karan Johar’s cheeky confession
During a game of “Truth or Lie,” Janhvi dared Karan to share one truth and one lie about himself.
He said, “I lost my virginity at 26, and I’ve been involved with a member of your family.”
While Janhvi looked shocked, Twinkle and Kajol burst into laughter as Karan quickly clarified, “Only the first one is true. I lost my virginity at 26, but never with anyone from your family, though the thought has crossed my mind a couple of times.”
Twinkle and Akshay’s story revisited
Twinkle, married to actor Akshay Kumar since 2001, also reflected on their early years in a previous episode.
She revealed they first met because of her father, Rajesh Khanna. “I didn’t want to do the film, but my dad’s producer friend insisted. At that time, Akshay was going through a rough patch with several flops, and I was rather snobbish,” she admitted.
Akshay later shared that Twinkle took a practical approach before marriage, saying, “She didn’t check horoscopes, she checked family medical history instead, down to my uncles and aunts. Only then did she decide to marry me.”
