Anne Hathaway brought elegance and excitement to the New York City premiere of Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated film The Odyssey, stepping onto the red carpet while proudly showcasing her baby bump.

The Oscar-winning actress, 43, attended the premiere on Tuesday (14), wearing a custom crystal-embellished Prada gown designed to highlight her pregnancy. The stunning look featured a sparkling halterneck top paired with a flowing white pleated skirt that gracefully draped over her growing bump.

Hathaway completed the appearance with an elegant updo, crystal-embellished earrings, a smoky eye look, and soft pink makeup. The actress’ red-carpet appearance marked another public moment of celebration after recently announcing that she and husband Adam Shulman are expecting their third child.

For The Odyssey, directed by Christopher Nolan, Hathaway takes on the role of Penelope, the wife of the legendary Greek hero Odysseus. The film is one of Nolan’s most ambitious projects and features a star-studded cast.

Hathaway revealed her pregnancy news on June 19 through a video shared on Instagram. In the clip, she appeared wearing a flowing white dress that showed her baby bump while Barbara Lewis’ song “Baby I’m Yours” played in the background.

The actress and Shulman, 45, who married in 2012, are already parents to two sons: Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6.

During an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers, Hathaway opened up about her reaction to discovering she was pregnant again. She explained that while she and Shulman were trying for another baby, the outcome still surprised them.

“Yeah, it’s amazing, I mean we … knew what we were doing, but we were so shocked it worked,” said Hathaway. “We knew … but no, we were just so shocked it went this way, so we’re calling this one our buzzer beater.”

A “buzzer beater” refers to a successful basketball shot made just before the clock runs out. Hathaway used the phrase to describe the unexpected timing of her pregnancy.

The actress also joked about another favorite topic during her conversation with Meyers: basketball. A longtime New York Knicks fan, Hathaway was asked whether she had played a role in the team’s success after the release date of The Devil Wears Prada 2 coincided with a strong winning streak.

“From the premiere date of The Devil Wears Prada 2, the Knicks went 12 and 1. Do you feel as though you had something to do with this?” Meyers asked.

“Honestly, I think it was all this kid!” Hathaway joked, while patting her baby bump.

Looking ahead to becoming a mother of three, Hathaway also asked Meyers, who has three children, for advice about expanding a family.

“Weirdly, it just kind of goes on, like, autopilot,” Meyers said. “Once there’s three, it’s just like there’s not much you can do except watch.”

“Just accept it and do it,” Hathaway responded.

The actress continues to balance her growing family with a major year in her career, including her role in Nolan’s The Odyssey and upcoming projects.
