After the global success of RRR, director SS Rajamouli has begun work on his next film with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. The project, tentatively titled SSMB 29, is described as a large-scale action-adventure, with Priyanka Chopra in the lead role. A first-look reveal is scheduled for November 2025.

Possible James Cameron involvement

Industry reports indicate that the timing of the reveal may align with Hollywood filmmaker James Cameron’s visit to India to promote Avatar 3. Rajamouli’s team is said to be in talks to have Cameron launch the first look.

The connection stems from Cameron’s earlier praise of RRR. At an awards event in Los Angeles, the director reportedly told Rajamouli he admired his work and would support him in future endeavours.
