MrBeast surprised fans in Mumbai when he joined Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and the team of Ramayana at a special event for the upcoming epic.

The YouTube star, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, was among the guests at the gathering, where footage from the film was also shown to members of the media.

Why was MrBeast at the Ramayana event?

MrBeast's appearance was not simply a celebrity visit. Producer Namit Malhotra revealed that the YouTube star is connected to Angry Birds 3, which he is producing, and that MrBeast is among the voice artists associated with the animated film.

The connection provided an unexpected link between the global YouTube star and the team behind Ramayana, which is being positioned as a major international production.

MrBeast was also given a glimpse of the film during the Mumbai event. The team presented footage showcasing the scale, visual effects and characters from Nitesh Tiwari's two-part adaptation.

What happened between Ranbir Kapoor and MrBeast?

During a traditional ceremony at the event, Sai Pallavi participated in a Hanuman puja while Ranbir was seen speaking quietly to MrBeast.

Ranbir appeared to be explaining the significance of Lord Hanuman and the rituals taking place on stage. The moment gave MrBeast a quick introduction to some of the cultural and religious elements connected to the story.

As chants of “Jai Shri Ram” echoed through the venue, Ranbir encouraged MrBeast to repeat the greeting. MrBeast joined in, drawing cheers from those attending the event.

He later told the audience he was grateful to be there and enjoyed seeing parts of the movie.

Who stars in Ramayana?

Ramayana is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and is being made as a two-part adaptation of the Indian epic.

Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi portrays Sita. Yash plays Ravana, with Ravie Dubey, Sunny Deol, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi and Kunal Kapoor also part of the cast.

The event offered attendees a further look at the film's visual world, including scenes involving Sita after her abduction and Ranbir's portrayal of both Lord Ram and Lord Parashuram. The film is being planned as a major Diwali release, with Ramayana: Part One scheduled to arrive in November 2026.

Ramayana: Part Two is expected to follow in 2027, ahead of Diwali.

The film has already begun its promotional campaign with the release of its first song, Jai Jai Ram, featuring Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal. The track includes scenes from the wedding of Ram and Sita and gives audiences another glimpse at the film's scale.
