After the release of the official trailer for Ramayana, Alia Bhatt showed her support for husband Ranbir Kapoor with a brief but meaningful Instagram post.
The trailer for Nitesh Tiwari's much-anticipated adaptation premiered during brahma muhurat at 4:15 a.m. on July 30. Since then, the film has generated widespread discussion online, with audiences divided over the visuals while many celebrities have praised the scale of the project.
Among them was Alia Bhatt, who reposted the trailer to her Instagram Stories. Instead of writing a lengthy message, she kept it simple, adding sparkle emojis and the caption, "DIWALI 2026." Her understated reaction quickly caught fans' attention.

This is not the first time Alia has publicly expressed excitement about the film. In April 2026, ahead of the release of the first look featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, she encouraged fans to support the project during a Zoom interaction.
"Ramayana unit is going to be out tomorrow. It is the unit called the Rama unit. I'm going to be posting it on my social media, so again, please go out there and support it," she had said.
She also praised Ranbir's performance, saying, "It's absolutely fabulous. I think Ranbir has just done such a beautiful job and I just can't wait for you guys to see it. It's just out of this world."
The newly released trailer opens with Yash as Ravana, introducing the powerful ruler before shifting to Lord Vishnu's incarnation as Lord Rama, played by Ranbir Kapoor. Arun Govil appears as King Dashrath, presenting Rama, who vows to protect humanity even at the cost of his own life.
The trailer revisits several key moments from the epic, including the wedding of Rama and Sita, their 14-year exile, and Sita's abduction. One of the standout scenes features Lord Rama declaring, “If Ravana is the king of three worlds, then he will have to face his death in the three worlds.”
Ramayana: Part One stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Ravi Dubey, Vivek Oberoi, Saurabh Sachdeva, Lara Dutta, and Rakul Preet Singh. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 8, 2026, during Diwali, with the second installment set to arrive in 2027.
