KISSING can be a tradition in many communities but in India, it’s still considered a taboo, especially in the public. Recently, a marriage ceremony in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh saw a hullabaloo after the groom kissed his bride during their wedding, resulting in injuries on both sides.

According to a report by NDTV, the ruckus started in Hapur city of the state when the groom displayed affection for his newly wed wife as the bride’s family objected to it. Members of her family soon climbed onto the stage of the wedding with sticks and started beating up the groom’s family.

Six people, including the bride’s father, were injured in the clash.

The police were given a call and seven people from both families were detained. The injured were sent to a local hospital.
